Our History
On June 4, 2020, Sarah Birmingham opened the doors to her own law firm. Sarah had enjoyed nearly 2 decades of working in local law firms with a wide variety of attorneys who practiced many different areas of law. Sarah was ready for a change and wanted to establish her own firm to focus on the specific needs of her family law and appellate clientele. Sarah’s firm strives to provide high quality compassionate legal services to their clients.

Sarah J. Birmingham
Attorney – Certified Specialist in Family Law
Sarah J. Birmingham is a Certified Specialist in Family Law with the California Board of Legal Specialization. Sarah’s practice areas include: dissolution of marriage, legal separation, property division, child custody, spousal & child support, domestic violence restraining orders, premarital agreements, co-habitation agreements, domestic partnerships, step-parent adoptions, and guardianships. She also practices appellate law. Sarah attended Santa Clara University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Minor in Italian. She also received her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University, School of Law.
Sarah has been a member of the Board of Directors for The Center for Human Services from 2004 to 2020 and was their past president from 2008 – 2010. She was formerly a member of Soroptimist International of Modesto and was their past president from 2013-2014. She is currently the Vice-President of the Stanislaus County Family Bar Association.
Sarah is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California, the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court, Eastern District of California. She is a member of the California State Bar’s Family Law Section, the Stanislaus County Family Bar Association, and the Stanislaus County Bar Association.
Sarah enjoys reading, traveling, running, and going to concerts. Her favorite music is performed by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
Karen L. Camara
Paralegal
Karen is a paralegal with over 30 years of experience. She received her paralegal certificate from Humphrey’s College. Karen has decades of experience in both family and civil procedure and has worked for both the courts and in private practice. Karen takes pride in providing high-quality services to our clients.
Karen and Sarah have worked together since 2005.
Karen enjoys reading, going to the movies, and spending time with her family, including her fur babies. Her favorite music is performed by Elvis Presley.
Sara V. Coelho
Administrative Assistant
Sara has worked in various administrative and leadership roles, including Student Services Coordinator and Assistant to the Chief Administrative Officer at Abram’s College and Legal Clerk at the Stanislaus County Superior Court. Sara provides friendly and client-centered services.
Sara joined our team in October of 2020.
Sara enjoys funny animal videos on Youtube and playing board games. Sara’s favorite music is performed by Coldplay.
